A 102-apartment, state-of-the-art community for seniors on a prime site in the landmark 76-acre Heritage Park redevelopment. This $14.2 million HUD-funded project is the first senior housing the city has built since 1972.

MPHA Hope VI Evaluation Final Report

In 2003 MPHA was awarded the HOPE VI grant by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (H.U.D.) to replace the Bryants Highrises, which were demolished in 1997. In addition to the construction costs of rebuilding the new facility, the grant also allocated funds for resident programs called Community and Supportive Services. These programs were intended to help residents become acclimated to the new development / neighborhood, provide needed services, and to address resident training opportunities.

As a provision of the HOPE VI grant, an independent evaluation was conducted at the end of the grant period in September 2008. You can access the full report below..
